A typical day with Carrie

So Carrie had hip surgery in Colorado on the 6th. This was her second hip surgery, and she as well as her family are hoping this time it will work. Her schedule consists of lying in bed for 21 days. Boring! She has foot pumps on her feet so she doesn't get blood clots, a way cool ice cooler with a tube thingy that connects to her hip which pumps brrr freezy ice water to her thigh. A crazy "leg machine" that moves her leg for her in a slow and gradual movement. Also, a crazy brace that connects her thigh to her waist and if she bends more than 90 degrees, it locks! Crutches too. So, this is my day with Carrie. We watch tv, then she rides the exercise bike for 20 minutes. Then we watch tv and I am her slave and more tv. Carrie is not a tv kind of girl, so she's going a little cuckoo. But, I am a good servant and like helping her out. I am a good sandwich maker and I can get cheese and gatorade super fast considering there are like 20 stairs to run up now. I'm getting great exercise helping her out. She is very bored though and very loopy. Vicodin helps her pain and her sense of humor. We hope Carrie gets better soon and we hope we never have to hear her say "My hip hurts" again.
