San Fran Part 2 The Zoo

So the reason we took Camden on our little vacation was so that we could go to the zoo and see all the animals. What a big mistake. I have been to this zoo at least 3 times in the past and I loved it. There were so many animals and we spent hours touring the whole zoo. Well...this was not the case. We saw maybe 10 animals total and they were all sleeping! It was almost like they were drugged or something. We were very bummed and so we don't have a lot of pictures. We only stayed for an hour and half and Camden was pretty bored. He did however like the train ride. In fact that's all he wanted to do was ride the train.

When I went to take his picture by the train after our ride, the stupid old man driver told me to get out of the way and leave. Bogus! What a rip off! I paid 6 bucks to ride your dang train that I didn't exactly FIT on and I can't take a picture of my very excited little boy in front of it even though people were still unloading and so we weren't in the way!!!! But no...and then he took our ticket! Hey buddy...have you ever heard of souvenirs? Luckily I snapped a quick picture of the ticket of proof that we rode the train at the zoo. I was gonna scrapbook that mister! But hey...take my little red ticket.

So anyway, Greg and I left very upset about this whole waste of time and money at the zoo! But here are our pictures of the ten animals that we did see. Yes...I think 8 of the 10 are sleeping!

Sleeping koala...

Awake polar bear...

Sleeping and very sedated Grizzly Bears...

Camden not impressed...

Flamingos sleeping...

A mouse...why is this in the zoo? Are you kidding me!

Greg on a FAKE turtle! Bogus again!

The gorilla who didn't move or turn around to look at anyone...

The crazy scary peacocks that roam around the zoo...UNSUPERVISED!

And yea...that was the zoo...$57 dollars later! So stay tuned for Part 3 Pier 39. Some interesting things happened there...and that's when we decided vacations are overrated when you have no money and a toddler. hahaha We learned our lesson.

Normally I love taking my kids to the zoo-but it sounds like you really did not have a great experience. So I guess I won't worry about making the Sacramento zoo....

Awww, he took your ticket?! You are much nicer than I, I would have had a few words I think! LOL! My family loves the Sac zoo and it is way cheaper.

That looks like it was sort of fun. Your commentary cracks me up.
