The BIG 25

I have been looking forward to the age of 25 for a couple of years now. It has always just sounded good in my head. It just rolls off your tongue...25! When I was 19 I had some really good friends that I hung around ALL the time and they were all 25. When I met Greg, he was 25. It just was a cool number.

So yesterday was my 25th birthday and well, it was not the day I had in mind 6 years ago. I am still in a lot of immobile pain from the c-section, I have 6 cold sores on my lip leaving it very swollen. I have migraines/headaches 24/7 for some reason the doctor can't figure out and so it was not how I wanted to spend my birthday.

I guess it's true what they say about being older and birthdays. Once you're an adult, your birthday is like any other day. So I spent my any other day/birthday at the DMV getting a Nevada license. I guess I am truly a Nevada resident now. I said good-bye to my Utah license. Plus I spent some time at the doctor's office with "cyclops" aka my sister Carrie. She woke up and her eye was completely swollen shut and pouring out water. She was in a lot of pain. She could barely see I felt so bad for her because the wait was like an hour long.

My mom did turn my any other day/birthday into a great night however by ordering Olive Garden take out and making my favorite Jell-o cake. I got a beautiful rug for my living room and a SPA pedicure. I was a little sad that my dad was out of town because he has the best voice for singing Happy Birthday. He drags it out and practically is off key the whole time. It makes everyone laugh. But instead of hearing him, Camden sang Happy Birthday for the first time. It was cute.

I realized then and there that it was a GREAT day. I had beautiful little Tanner there and Camden putting on a show and I was laughing and smiling. That is what a birthday is all about. Being surrounded by the people you love and smiling. My mom has been so great taking care of me for the past 4 weeks. I appreciate her so much and for my family putting up with me. So it looks like the start of age 25 will be a an okay year after all.

Happy Birthday (a day late). Sorry the healing process is taking a while. Call me anytime and I will come get Camden to play for a while. Ethan and Rory always like other playmates!!

Um, the rug! Where is the picture you promised. I'm glad it was a great day. I wish you felt better. I'm sorry we didn't make it up there but I figured you wouldn't be in the mode for all of us to show up and create chaos. But I knew Mom would take care of you and that we would get to celebrate down at my house with you. At our house it's birthday week not just birthday day. So c-ya Skippi and A HHHHAPPY BBIRTHDAY.

Happy Birthday! So, it's not very fair that you take super cute license pictures, but I guess since it was your birthday, you deserve it. :)
I'm sorry that you're still sore and what-not from the delivery, but how cute that Camden sang to you on your birthday, I bet that was really sweet.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Sariah, Happy birthday to you. That's as good as my singing gets. You are a sweet heart and I hope your year of 25 is better than your day of turning 25. Get well soon!

Happy Birthday! Sorry your not feeling well. My advice is take a birthday rain check. When you are feeling better plan a fun night out or a shopping trip and call it your "birthday." Oh and if I haven't told you yet, your little baby is too adorable!

Happy Belated Birthday! I am sorry it wasn't quite what you imagined in your head 6 years ago. Mine never are either. I think I expect too much.
Your mom is a fabulous mom. I think I may addopt her. What a great gift for you for your birthday.
I am sorry that your C-section is taking awhile to heal. I wish I could tell you I have felt your pain. Let me know if there is anything I can do. When you are up for a good laugh we'll go get a what with cheese.

I did not realize we were so close in age. For some reason I thought you were older, not that you look it or anything just thought you were. Anyways sorry it was not what you would have hoped for. I will turn 25 on July 12 and will be 38 weeks pregnant. So no big plans and I pretty much intend on just counting it down as another day towards the baby coming. Better luck next year!

Yeah, unfortunately, birthdays just aren't as fun when you're older. What happens? I mean, when you're a kid, that's all you look forward to - and now, just another day. Shame. Anyway, glad to hear it turned out good. Hopefully you got my text in the morning to start it off great. Love ya!

Happy belated birthday. Tanner is really cute and Camden still makes me laugh (he's cute too, by the way)...his personality is so fun in all of your pictures. How are you coping as a mother of two?

I hope that eventually he will get sleeping better for you! And if you know anyone who uses enfamil or if you want it, I have coupons and a couple of samples, just let me know!
