Obituary from the Reno Gazette Journal

Jeffrey Aaron Rand, son of John and Karen Rand, passed away March 24, 2009, in Reno, NV. He was born May 4, 1981, in Placerville, CA.

He attended Brown Elementary School, Pine Middle School and graduated from Galena High School in 1999. He attended TMCC and was working as a patient access representative in the emergency admitting at Renown Regional Medical Center. He planned to continue to work in the health care industry.

He is survived by his parents; his grandmother, Evelyn Rand; and his six brothers and sisters, Chris (Sarah) Rand, Andrea (Adam) Weiss, Eric Rand, Sariah (Gregory) Free, Joseph Rand and Carrie Rand. He is also survived by his four nieces, Madison, Emily, Nyah and Lily and three nephews, Camden, Tanner and Jacob.

Jeff was loved deeply by his family and all who knew him. He was kind, generous and loving. He loved his family and his friends. He loved to ride his scooter with his girlfriend, Emily Clark. He loved to visit museums and study history. He loved his pug, Voodoo.

We will miss Jeff. His time with us was too brief. We'll miss his smile, his laugh and his quick, humorous manner. We look forward to seeing him again as a healthy, happy, eternal being as we all finish life's course.

A viewing will be held Sunday, March 29, 1 to 4 p.m. at Final Wishes Funeral Home, 437 Stoker Ave., at Mountain View Cemetery. A funeral service will be held, Monday, March 30, 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4751 Neil Road, Reno, NV.

I felt I should put this on here to explain why I am going to be taking a break from the blogger world. I am needing some time to just be by myself and my family. We are grateful for all of those who have offered to watch my boys as I grieve with my family. I truly do have the greatest friends. Your calls have been so supportive and are very appreciated and I love you all so much.
