One of my favorite things to do is shop online. Now I say shop but really it's like I'm 5 years old again and playing pretend. I go to these websites, fill my cart with everything I want....some that I don't necessarily need, but are too cute to pass up. Anyway...I fill my cart and then go to the next website and do it all over again.
You see in one day....I sometimes total up to $1000 on online shopping.
I just never checkout.
It feels like shopping, since shopping is not a physical fun thing for me. But online shopping is physically relaxing. Some people think this is weird, but I love to fill my carts and never checkout. Funny thing is some websites save everything in the cart for you so when I return a week/month later....I'm like why would I buy that....that's dumb. So really I'm double saving Greg on money by not buying it and by not buying to not wear it. ha.
Anyway....the point of this blog is about how I like to read reviews. If I am seriously looking for something to actually buy...I read the reviews. Well I came across this review and for some reason....it makes me laugh all the freakin time!!!
Let me fill you in first. I am looking for an athletic swim top for my swim class at the gym. The old ladies in the pool suggested LandsEnd. Here is my most favorite review from a lady in Houston whose age ranges from 45-54. This is for a tankini top.
This is really flattering style, especially in black. The downside is that it's very hard to put on and take off. (Hint: do not attempt to pull it up over your hips unless you are a contortionist or have someone nearby to rescue you.) it has to go on over your head, and it has to go off the same way. I had to pull on the material to get it off, because the straps don't give much. Hopefully, this won't cause the material to stretch out over time. Once I got it on, though, the fit was right (I bought an 18W), and it looked really cute and slimming..
So I'm reading this thinking....putting a tankini top by stepping into it with your feet and pulling up....what? It's not a one piece....well.....maybe she is super skinny....oh no wait....she bought an 18W. Well now lady....what makes you think a piece of Lycra is going to fit from going bottom to top. Why stretch it more then it is already going to be stretched!!! Hilarious. But hey....all that matters is that she felt slimming!!!
And this is what makes me laugh. Some reviews have battles between reviewers. Like when I was online shopping for a stroller.....reviews would state....crappy stroller...wheels came off when walking. And the next review would say....our stroller works perfect because I'm smart and knew how to put wheels on correctly. hahaha I love it. What do you love to do on the internet to waste time?

I just like how she explains how to take it off the same way. Who would have thought of that?
I like to look at craft blogs and then end up saving jars for ever for all the things I could do with them. Yah, the jars are still on the shelf.
This cracked me up! Hey, I think your online "shopping" is a great idea. Fill up the cart and don't spend any money! Genius. And it sounds like half the fun is the reviews. That is hilarious. I'm always too impatient to read reviews before I get something, but Gordon is the king of reviews. He's a much smarter shopper than I. Maybe that's why I just bought 4 shirts online last month and only wear 1 because the other ones fit weird. I guess I should clue in!
Anyhow, I enjoyed this post. :) I waste time online on craigslist looking at the free section and trying to figure out how I "need" some of the items and also laughing at all of the food people list under free. (Extra lasagna, come pick it up and it's yours. Really? It's generous, I'm just not very trusting I guess.)
