We went to the zoo!

AND THEY HAD ANIMALS!  I will always remember our trip to San Francisco Zoo when I was 8 months pregnant with Tanner.  There were NO animals and the 4 that we did see were highly sedated and in the back corner.  So even though we were freezing cold at the Sacramento Zoo....the boys enjoyed seeing all the animals awake and aware of the people wanting to see them.  And who can forget about the train.  Camden is still obsessed with trains!

Apparently I am the only Free in this family that knows how to put my face in a hole!  That sounds bad....but it's true.

This is how Tanner smiles....with his eyes closed.  He is not drugged...just silly.
Camden was most excited about seeing a cheetah, but they didn't have one, so he settled for the Snow Leopard instead.  See it on the rock?
Another classic pose of Tanner with eyes closed

This guy was either as cold as we were or holding himself because he's in pain because of the ginormous hemorrhoid growing on his bottom!

Here is where Camden found the cheetah!
 TRAIN!!!

We had a fun quick vacation.  We did some shopping, went out to dinner, stayed in a hotel, went swimming, and went to the zoo in the morning.  On the way home, we had to stop and put chains on, but we made it safe and the boys did great!  They are finally at a good age that we can have fun traveling.  We are looking forward to future LONGER vacations this summer.

We want to do that over spring break!!! So it was worth it then. Good! Could it be done as a day trip??? (it does look a little cold....) :)

It is actually really really small. So it was nice that it was so small and freezing, we didn't have to stay long. It could definitely be a day trip. Fairytale Land is across the street as well as Funderland. Look those up too.
