first snow of the year

It snowed like a foot...maybe...on Friday, so I went to Target and got the whole get up. Snow suit...mittens, boots, you know, the get up. His coat is from last year and it is an 18 month size. Hehe it still fits. That's some big 18 month old for that coat. Anyway as some of you know who have been to my house...we live on a dead end in a field. So off Camden went a wandering.

He decided he needed to shovel a path to get back home.

On his way out to the boondocks.

And further he ran...

Our house...

The dirt pile of dead trees and such...

Where he rolled to the bottom and lost his boot...

Onto the next morning...where Greg was able to play in the backyard and pull him in his "boat" as Camden likes to call it.

Now onto the front yard to build a snowman. The funny part is that this walkway was ice and Camden kept slipping. It was so funny. He was so padded and bundled he didn't seem to mind falling.

And that's it...snow day success...he came in wanting COCOA! A new word of the day.

That coat was for 18 month old? Geez...that would be a huge kid! You should bring Camden over and see the "frozen river" behind our house. The ditch actually had running water yesterday.

Thanks for the play by play. It was very entertaining! My favorites were the two of him playing with the snow shovel and then lying face down in the snow on top of the shovel. I'm glad everyone who has received snow is posting pictures of it. This way I am able to pretend I am looking out my windows instead of the computer screen.

I like that he shovels snow. I say put them to work as soon as they can walk:)

Ditto to what Meagan said. Thanks for the pictures of the snow, it makes it feel a little like Christmas here just looking at the pictures. :)

I'm sorry I forgot that you also helped with the tree. It was so long ago and I was just remembering the times that I got to help. But you also helped and you also got to have that neat experience.
BTW....love the snow pictures. He really is a fun kid even though he is giving you a hard time right now. It will get better and then hard and then better. And those that say they have it easy and that their kid is perfect is either in denial or lying. HEHEHE! He did so good at my house with all the decorations. He is so fun and cute. You are a great journal keeper. Keep it up.
