Seattle Surprise

Kevin B. decided to surprise Brittany by flying me up to see New Moon at midnight with her. Um...couldn't say no to that!!!! We did pretty dang good at surprising her. She had NO idea!!!! Kevin picked me up from the airport and arrived home at his usual time. I think Jameson was more excited than Brittany was. He was yelling "friends, friends, friends". Brittany was ready to go to a baby shower, so I tagged along and met her new friends. They seem cool....just not as cool as me. hahaha

After we got home from the shower, we watched Grey's Anatomy, then headed off to the movie theatre. We got there only to find out we were there with 1,000 people with 9 o'clock passes to see it. And 3,000 people to see the midnight show in 16 theatres. The theatres were 3 floors up, so we thought we would wait at the end on ground level 3 floors down....only to realize we had to wait another 3 floors down in the parking garage. Now if Brittany and I counted right...out of 3,000....we were number 2,964 and 2,965 in line. We finally got in our seats at 12:20 for the movie. We sat front row in an IMAX. So crazy!!! And the movie was fabulous BTW!!!!! I had a Team Edward shirt on and Brittany had a Team Jacob one on. Thanks for the new shirt Brittany!!! It's amazing we're still friends...her being a werewolf lover!!!! gross.

We spent the rest of the weekend shopping and touring her new city. (Bellevue/Redmond/Lake Sammamish/Seattle)

The space needle looks bigger in Grey's Anatomy

How friendly is this? Shop at the outdoor malls with a complimentary umbrella!!!

The new life of Jameson!!! Completely bundled and stylin in damp Seattle!

Draw Bridge anyone?

Floating apartments on the water.....hmmmm?

Floating bridges?
So I'm flying into Seattle and noticing these bridges that extend over the water. They seriously look like the cars are driving IN the water. Ted...my new BFF from the plane ride, well he said they are smooth on one side and white caps on the other. This was all slang to me, until Brittany took me on the floating bridge. The water was perfectly smooth on one side and roaring white caps and waves on the other. The windshield was wet not from rain but from waves. Crazy!!!!

This is Lake Sammamish. A lovely lake located a block from Brittany's house. I got a tour of the park Brittany always blogs about. It was truly breathtaking. The sun was down, it was cold and moist, the water was at it's highest since the dock was completely covered and underwater. Jameson was hilarious. They feed the ducks every time they come and he has got an arm. I of course was scared of the ducks. They were CRAZY over the bread!

Can you tell I was excited...and Jameson is like..."put me down lady!"

The adorable Brazell family

I was totally jealous of JMO'S boots. It was muddy there since it rained everyday I was there.

Krazy Kevin holding a duck

The ducks trampled Brit's Uggs!!! They were serious eaters those ducks.

They eat out of your hand

I had an amazing time. I had never been to Seattle and it was truly beautiful. I did NOT want to come home to the ugliness of the desert I live in. Seattle was so green and covered in trees. I can only imagine summers there when ALL the trees have leaves and hang over the streets. It was definitely damp and moist there. A word I don't like to use....moist...but it was. My skin was soft, I didn't need face moisturizer or anything.

I loved seeing Brittany and her baby bump. I loved going to the Baby Expo trying to win a $900 stroller. You had to be pregnant to enter the raffle. Since I packed on 12 pounds this summer...I qualified as looking pregnant...so I entered the raffle too. We were 5 inches away from the girl who actually won. She said she was pregnant. I say prove it girl. Cuz your outfit is screaming "yeah right".

I loved sleeping in the same room as Jmo and getting up with him in the morning. He is quite the entertainer with all the sleep-talking he does. Example...."binky, where you go?" for half an hour at 2 in the morning. He looks so different in the 2 months I hadn't seen him. His sentences and speech have come soooo far. He is a funny little guy.

And I am so appreciative of Kevin for flying me in to surprise my best friend to see New Moon! Thanks a bunch Kevin!!!

So I am excited to come up and visit again and again and again. If the Brazell's will let me that is........

Where's the picture of the lady with the box? And the sun was out when we were at the park, it was just too cloudy for it to shine. We might have to use that picture of us walking on the dock for our Christmas card. It's a pretty good one.
