F-I-V-E

I forgot that uploading pictures can be difficult with blogger. So these are backwards. Camden had a birthday 2 weeks ago. He turned ...ahem...cough cough....FIVE! Holy smokes. My lil bear is so big. He started kindergarten in July and is loving it. There are 30 students in his class. He is the youngest. I was struggling with that for the first couple of weeks, but Camden is doing just fine. He loves reading words around town on billboards and signs. He loves teaching Tanner to count and he loves his artwork and crafts that he gets to do.

October is his off-track month. He is year round so he has this month and February off. It has been difficult because Greg has been working looooonnnngggg nights, but as of tomorrow night, Greg will be home at regular dinner hours. This is good because I need some help entertaining this kid.

Greg has been teaching Camden how to fish. It is seriously the cutest thing ever. He has so much patience for it. They went to the pond and sat....and waited. Camden uses an adult pole and is doing really well instead of learning on a kid pole. I'm hoping me and Tanner will be invited on the next fishing trip.

Camden still loves his Gramma more than anything, and is still his Uncle Eric's shadow. When we buy new clothes, we have to show Eric all of them to get the nod or the no way. Luckily, Eric gives the nod for everything even if later Eric tells me they are lame! He's FIVE....of course he needs firetrucks and baseballs on his shirts, not skate logos!

Lately Camden has picked up lying. That's right. My kid's a liar! Little things, but they don't make me happy. We are working on it. He still drinks hot cocoa EVERY morning and he loves to hug Tanner before he walks into his classroom. He gets a green card every day. Which means he was good.

He started playing soccer this fall. He has his best friends on his team. And fabulous coaches who decided I would be a great Team Manager. ha. Their team is the Dragons and they are a maroon color. He is number 9 and has scored 3 goals this season. One for the other team which he then proceeded to do a celebration dance all the way down the field. It was hilarious!!!

Camden keeps us laughing and we are so thankful for him and his sweet personality. He is very protective and loving to his lil brother (90% of the time) and always asking when we are going to give him a sister. We love him so much and can't believe he is 5 already.

He asked for a rockstar party with black balloons this year. Because of Uncle Eric of course. But we made it work. We had a small party....just pizza, cake and presents with his favorite 3 girls. Maddy, Em, and Lil Bean.

We got him an easel since he loves drawing!



This cake was hard! I refuse to buy store bought cakes. I think they taste like butt! I'm not the best cake decorator, but I'll always try for my kids. Camden loved it and that's all that matters. Oh and the fact that it was delicious!!!
