My mom surprised all her granddaughters with tickets to see the Cinderella Ballet. They were so excited to get dressed up and go see a story in which they knew all about!!! So Saturday night we all went to the Pioneer Center and we had GREAT floor seats! There were seven of us so we had our own row. Maddy had read all about the ballet in the paper that morning only to find out that the two evil stepsisters were played by male ballet dancers! What? I thought oh weird. But to my surprise they were hilarious and UGLY! It was a different Cinderella, since the father was alive...no stepmother...a jester at the ball...an orange giver...and some season fairies. But it was great. The girls loved the costumes and the dancing. Afterwards they had a slumber party at Gramma's (since it was WAY past their bedtime) and they danced and danced till Midnight.
Thanks for the surprise Gramma!!!

What a great night!! Watching the girls was my absolute joy. Their faces during the ballet, ahhh. Laughing at the prince in his tights... so funny. And then the dancing, dancing, dancing all the way to the car. Heaven. Pure Heaven. These are the best moments of life.!!!

That looks like it was so much fun! I haven't heard of the Cinderella ballet, but if it ever comes to town I'm going to have to check it out...I want to see those male wicked step-sisters :)
